Ductless mini-split A/C units are a highly efficient heating and cooling system that are easy to install and allow you to control the temperature in unoccupied rooms of your home. The biggest benefit of ductless A/C units is that they do not require ductwork and still heat and cool your home just as well as a traditional HVAC system. If you are looking to install a ductless mini-split A/C unit, look no further than Ashton Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning.
When you have mini splits installed in various rooms of your Vancouver, BC home, you can fine-tune the temperature of each unit, allowing you to cater to your family’s individual preferences. You can also turn off mini splits in any rooms that are rarely used, so you don’t waste money or resources needlessly heating and cooling it.
Compared to ducted HVAC systems, which lose 20-30% of their conditioned air, mini split systems avoid these losses thanks to their ductless design. You can also turn off certain mini splits in rarely used rooms, which will help you conserve energy and save money, since you won’t be wasting energy trying to cool your entire Vancouver, BC home.
Unlike traditional forced-air HVAC systems, the mini splits installed by Ashton Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning can both heat and cool your home, meaning you’ll only have to worry about maintaining the individual mini splits in your home as opposed to both a furnace and an A/C. You’ll be able to enjoy this efficient system year-round!
Ducted HVAC systems only have one filter, and cleaning out the ducts requires professional services. Each mini split installed in your Vancouver, BC home has its own air filter that you can clean yourself, so you can be sure that the air they produce is clean. You also won’t have to worry about circulating pollutants throughout your home, since mini splits are responsible for heating and cooling specific areas.
It is much easier to have Ashton Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning install mini splits than it is to install a new ducted system, especially if the space you are working with did not initially have ducts built in. Mini splits can be positioned almost anywhere in a space and can also be moved as needed. They can be wall mounted, set on the floor, or even put on a shelf, depending on the model. With mini splits, there’s no need for ductwork or major renovations.
